职场英语:与年轻的老板共事7个诀窍

现在的老板越来越年轻了,创业已不再是少数人衷情的一种一时的趋势。为比自己年轻的老板打工,年龄上的差距是一种挑战。一项上班族的调查发现,55岁以上的上班人群?#26657;?9%的人有一个年轻的经理。

要怎样与你的年轻上司搞好关系,7个与年轻老板相处的诀窍,甚至可以让他对你一见如故:

 

Acknowledge their expertise. 承认他们才能

Be open to the fresh ideas and newapproaches that a younger manager may bring to the job.

接受年轻经理在工作上带来的新想法与方法。

心理学家Linda Gravett说道:

"One of the problems that many boomersexperience is that in their perception, the younger boss does not want to listento their experiences and take account of their expertise,"

"The younger person has their owneducation and expertise and they don't want to be parented by someone."

Tally your accomplishments, and make yourboss aware of them on a regular basis. Instead of chatting about your decadesof experience, talk about expectations you have exceeded over the past month orsix months.

"The last thing the boss wants to hearis'you remind me of my son,' " says Gravett. Conversely, you don't need toprove yourself hip to 30-somethings.

it's best not to openly compete with ayounger supervisor or belittle him or her because of age.
